This class teaches the fundamentals of ascending fixed lines. Students will not only learn to ascend using mechanical ascenders, but will also learn techniques for improvised ascending using minimal gear.

Consistent use of backup systems and safe transitions to rappel will be stressed throughout the class. This class is an excellent introduction for aspiring big wall climbers, as well as outdoor photographers, tree climbers, rescue workers and sailboat owners.

All necessary equipment is included.
