No. He's just too good looking to fall and hurt himself. |

As some of you may have noticed the routesetters have been honing and concentrating their skills under the leading areas... well, not to worry my little peoples ,for there is some good news on the horizon.
There is a chill out comp (humidity howdown) scheduled for late July. Friday the 30th @ 8:00 in the pm. The idea is to just to set some sickness and then work it out amongst your brethren. there will be score sheets but not that many problems so....sack up.
More details will be to follow in further postings...

I'd like to make a recommendation for the upcoming Humidity Hoe-down: How about settin' some 40 foot problems? And don't start with the excuses about how the boulders aren't high enough, and it's a safety issue, and I've been sniffin too much chalk, and I must be drunk on Summersville Lake H2O, yada yada yada. Just get it done. That way when I fall, I will have plenty of time to think about it. After only a few dozen iterations, I will be fully qualified to rope-up with the legendary Doosh Spray himself. But hey, that's just me.

So if you havent heard already, im sure you will soon, about the man we commonly refer to as the DOOSH, the king of back clips. He is one of the most experienced climbers we know of. His stories are legendary across the world, from ducktape anchors, to the not so familiar gaston and knee drop. I was fortunate to be in the presence of this spray master this past weekend, it was an experience i will never forget. I learned that it is impossible to backclip while trad climbing, thank god thats one less thing i have to worrie about!! Ducktape has now become an essential part of my rack without that i would not be able to belay up my second. I often find myself consentrating on the climb in front of me and that i dont allow myself to think about anything else but not to worrie i have fornd the remedy for that, 40 FOOT WHIPPERS!!! I find i get a good 5-6 SECONDS <----thats alot of time, to figure out what I'm going to spray about the next day. These are only a few things that i learned from the master himself and maybe oneday you will be lucky enough to have the same oppertunity i had. I know i will never forget the lessons i have learned. THANKS DOOSH!!!!
