for those who have not been in the gym in a few weeks for more than logical reasons ( botswana-ish temperatures and the fact that you may consider bringing your mosquito netting in your bag), I'd thought I would take the time to let you know the are some relatrively new routes on the slab.
For those who have the been on the routes , you mave have noticed they're a little "spicy". I was approached by a fellow climber as to what exactly our thinking was behind the routes because we had rocked the slab Emmerill style (up a notch...). I told him that some of the routes were inspired by traditional slab climbs around. He didn't like them because they were scary...well i got news for ya' .
Slab has always been and probably will be "SCARY" for a long damn time.
But I love it. except for mantles on slab ...that sucks more than you will ever know.
There are 8 routes total : 2 easy, 4 moderates, 2 hard.
have fun and climb safe.
