Why would it matter if the routes on the overhang have been changed or not if you still have only sent one of the routes on the overhang?

Kevin,
in response to your thoughts on changing routes:
we usually change the routes on the main wall every 3-4 months. the overhang and the invert walls are up to bat for route changes and you should expect them to be changed no later than mid February. I would try to get it done a little sooner but frankly we( setters) are all recooperating from a severe drainage of inspiration for quality routesetting from coursesetting for ABS and changing 4 walls in the 3 weeks before the competition... bare with us on that.
In the meantime there are 90 boulder problems waiting for sendage that you should try. the slab, cheeswedge, lead areas are all relatively new.
I hope the above provided information to you that may prove useful.
peace.

i wasn't trying to knock. i understand how big a pain it can be, or how hard it is to plan new routes to provide a variety of climbing for everyone.... actually i applaud your efforts, me being a newb and all
which areas are the slab and cheese wedge? i have an idea, but i'm notpositive.
do you have to be certified to climb the lead routes? i understand the fundementals and such, just curious.

Relax chief,
I know that you weren't trying to knock...just being informative is all...and yes, you do have to be lead certified by our facility in order to have access to the lead areas. A prerequisite for the lead course (40.00$)
is that you must be climbing in the gym a minimum of six months before you are eligble for the class. After that, it is at the discretion of the instructor as to whether or not the class is suitable for you.
the slab is at the center of the main wall(ramp) and the cheesewedge is just to the left of that. |
